Allergy tips

We are lucky in that many of our major cities in the PNW are in the top ten best cities for allergies...Seattle, Spokane, Boise, Portland, Denver, Colorado Springs. Still, with all that green explosion many of us have weepy eyes or noses.

Here are some tips for living with Spring allergies which are generally caused by tree and grass pollens.

Use a scarf or mask on windy days.
Stay inside when pollen levels are high.
Keep car and home windows closed.
Wash your hands and body after being outside.
Take allergy medication before you have allergy symptoms.
Use a saline nasal wash.
Change clothes after being outside.
Use an air conditioner.

Take doctor-recommended medicines & treatments consistently.
(Cynthia...I developed MILD allergies and my doc recommended any good over-the-counter antihistamine... like Kroger Cetirizine Hydrochloride Tablets, 10 mg Antihistamine)  I take half a tab most days when symptoms come on and it stops it in its tracks.  Consult your own doc.
